Sophie Dao - Optometrist
Sophie is co-owner of Northbridge Optical and a distinguished graduate of UNSW with Honors and therapeutic qualifications.
Passionate about personalized patient care, Sophie has a particular interest in contact lenses. She has enhanced her expertise by earning internationally recognised qualifications in Contact Lenses from VisionExpo in the United States, the Orthokeratology Society Oceania, and the International Cornea & Contact Lens Congress.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys spending time with family, practicing pilated and travelling with a second trip to Japan in the works!

Tina Chau - Optometrist
Tina is co-owner of Northbridge Optical and graduated from UNSW (Hons) with therapeutic endorsements. With over 15 years experience in private practice, Tina is passionate about providing personalised care to all her patients with special interest in myopia management. Being short sighted herself and with a young family of her own, she is an advocate for myopia control strategies in the hope of limiting the progression of short sightedness in children as early as possible. She truly believes early treatment is key with strategies tailored specific to her patients lifestyle including orthokeratology lenses, atropine eye drops, myopia control specific soft contact lenses and spectacle lenses. In 2018, her work on the impacts of orthokeratology and binocular vision was published.
Tina is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, which allows her to prescribe certain ocular medications for the treatment of conditions such as glaucoma and most red eye complications.
In her spare time, she strives to balance her love for red wine with regular visits to the gym, and is a proud mum to (soon to be) three children and her cavoodle Archie.

We offer Medicare bulk billing and all health funds are accepted for on-the-spot claiming.
